Antennas

This page is about what I have and as much information as I can put together. In the early days I used 1/2 watt rigs on CW to a long wire. I have come a long way from there but did find out that it is the antenna that makes the signal.

Here we have a number of antennas. As usual they will be considered as high band and low band. High is 70 CM at this time with hope to get higher and low is 160 meters a band that I like too.

High Band

14 element 2 meter Yagi tuned to 147.030 for the Tallahassee nets.

10 element 70 CM Yagi for reaching out Digital repeater.

A dual band vertical 2 meters and 70 Cm

5/8 vertical for 2 meters

Low band

Loop antenna – 1000+ feet tuned to 1860 but fed by 450 ohm ladder line and tunable to all the lower bands. I worked my DXCC 100 with this antenna.

8o meter horizontal loop tuned to 3950 for the ARES nets.

20 Meter Delta Loop fed with 450 ladder line.

Long dipole running SW to NE approximately 285 Ft a leg

Long Wire

Reading Material

Much of this is mathy! Get past that and great learning material. Some of it is old military manuals which I find valuable. I will add descriptions with every link as I work on this page.
